Bel Air Brigade Travel Baseball
Welcome to the Brigade
The Bel Air Brigade is the premier travel baseball program of the Bel Air Recreation Committee. We provide a highly competitive environment for dedicated players looking to develop their skills, compete at the highest regional levels, and foster a deep respect for the game.
Unlike our Rec programs, Brigade teams participate in advanced travel leagues and tournament play throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.

Program Details & Player Expectations
Commitment to Excellence: Travel baseball requires a higher level of dedication from both players and parents. The Brigade program spans multiple seasons, including winter workouts and extensive spring/fall game schedules.
What is Included in the Brigade Experience?
-
League Play: Entry into competitive regional travel leagues (such as MABA / HCTBL or equivalent).
-
Tournament Packages: Teams typically participate in 2 to 4 local and regional weekend tournaments per season.
-
Training / Practice: Most teams practice 2 - 3 times per week in the spring and summer, and weekly in the fall winter including indoor training.
Tryouts & Selection Process
Brigade rosters are determined annually through open, competitive tryouts held in the mid-to-late summer for the following year's season.
-
Evaluation Criteria: Players are evaluated by unbiased coaches on hitting, fielding, throwing velocity, base running, and overall attitude.
-
Notification: Rosters are typically finalized within two weeks of the final tryout date.
