Bel Air Rec Recreation in partnership with Ice World offer Group Lessons for Youth/Adult Ice Skating

Location: Ice World: 1300 Governor Court, Abingdon, MD 21009

We offer comprehensive group lessons for ages 18 months and up, as well as classes for adults. Our philosophy is to provide top notch, professional instruction for beginners through advanced skaters in a relaxed and fun environment. Group lessons are necessary for those wishing to proceed on to ice hockey or figure skating.

Lessons are offered during the day, weeknights and weekends during Fall - Spring, and weekday and weeknights during the summer. They are 7 weeks in the fall – spring and 6 weeks during the summer. Registration fees include a half hour lesson, a half hour practice and skate rental.

2025-2026 Pricing: $169.00 for all classes excluding Totsicles. Totsicles is $90.00 for one child and adult

*Snowplow Sam Lessons Including Homeschool (Ages 4 - 6) Child without a parent with an instructor in a group. Tuesdays 11 :00 am - 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am - 10:00 am

*Basic Learn to Skate Lessons Including Homeschool (Ages 7 - 14) Child without a parent with an instructor in a group. Tuesdays 11 :00 am - 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am - 10:00 am

*High School Skating (Ages 13 - 18) Levels Beginner - Basic 6. Sundays 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

* Adult Lessons (Ages 18 +) Mondays 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Levels Beginner through Adult 6, Tuesdays and Sundays 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. all levels

^Parent and Child Lessons (Ages 3 - 8) One adult and one child on the ice and are geared towards the children with the parents' help.

*Totsicles (ages 18 months - 5 years) For younger skaters to get comfortable on the ice including one adult with toys, music, fun and games! Enjoy the hour with or without skates. Strollers and siblings welcome! Siblings an additional fee payable at the rink

*Foundry Adult Hockey (Ages 18+) Covers everything from skating mechanics to getting up when you fall. Skating will progress to include edgework, turning, and backwards skating. This will lay a foundation for the remainder of the program.

*Hockey Skating Lessons (Ages 6 - 14) Learn the skating skills necessary to move onto playing hockey
