New Cheer Squad
Bel Air recreation has A new cheer squad in Harford County that is creating a safe space for people with special needs to participate in cheerleading. Miryana Sanchez is one of six cheerleaders on Harford County's first Cheerabilities squad, a team where anyone with any disability can come out and cheer. "I feel so happy to be here in cheerleading," she said.
57th Bel Air Festival for the Arts
The Bel Air Recreation Committee hosted the 57th Bel Air Festival for the Arts on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The Bel Air Festival for the Arts is a judged competition with prizes for the best artists in the Oil/Acrylic, Watercolor, Photography and Mixed Media Categories. First prize winners of this year’s judged contest included Tim Jankowiak of Baltimore, MD for the Oil/Acrylic Category, Cornelia Cheney of Fallston MD for the Watercolor Category, Brent Mantooth of Bel Air, MD for the Photography Category and Jodi Harvey of Port Deposit, MD for the Mixed Media Category. Category winners receive cash prizes for their works.
