
Encore Summer Drama
Encore is a weeklong summer drama intensive hosted at Bel Air Middle School. Participants (ages 11-14) will explore the vast and exciting world of live performance. Each day, students will explore various facets of the theatrical world, including makeup design, costuming, choreography, camera work, monologues, and so much more! This exciting summer performance opportunity will culminate in a filmed showcase performance.

Through dynamic workshops, hands-on performances, and supportive mentorship, we inspire campers to discover their unique voices, build lasting friendships, and express themselves through the art of drama. Our mission is to provide a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment where students can explore their passion for theater, develop essential life skills, and gain the confidence to shine both on and off the stage.

What do I pack?
- Wear comfortable shoes and athletic wear that will not hinder performance
- Packed lunch
- Refillable water bottle
- A smock or old shirt to protect clothing when using paints.
Do you provide before ore after care?
Yes we do! Drop off: Begins at 7:30 AM for early care or 8:30 AM for standard program hours
Pick up ends at 3:30 PM. Aftercare will be provided for an additional fee until 4:30 PM. The Early Care / After Care cost is ten dollars per session. You may pay for both both or just one session for additional care. Be sure to add your before and after care to your child's registration!
Who will be teaching my child?
Mrs. Smith is the director of Encore Summer Camp. She is the Drama teacher at Bel Air Middle School and has over 25 years of teaching experience. Ms. Shirk is the Assistant Director and Language Arts teacher at BAMS. The counselors will consist of a team of experienced high school students from local high school drama departments who are enthusiastic and excited to ignite this passion in their younger peers.

Can I sign for more than one week session?
No. The same content will be available for both weeks. You may want to coordinate with your friends.
Is there a limit to the number of children per session?
Yes, space is limited to 50 participants each week, so be sure you act quickly to ensure a spot.
Does my child need to have prior experience in drama to participate?
No, the arts are for everyone! Encore is designed to open the door to explore theatre at any experience level.
What are your expectations & guidelines?
