Clinic

The Clinic age group is for 4 and 5-year-old players and/or first-time players who are 6 and in first grade who have never held a stick in their hand and want to learn the very basic fundamentals of scooping the ball, cradling, passing, catching, and shooting through group instruction. The only equipment required is a men’s regulation stick and a mouthpiece. Clinic is typically held on Sunday mornings from April until mid-May.

Players who are 5 years old and have any experience with a stick in their hand, have an older brother who has played, or are athletic should consider playing in the Pee Wee age group for 5 and 6-year-old players.

Soft balls are used at practice and there is no contact. No protective equipment is required. Players must provide their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick.

The cost to register is $60.

Pee Wee (6U)

The Pee Wee age group is for 5 and 6-year-old players who have some experience holding a stick in their hand and want to receive complete instruction in the game of lacrosse. All players will participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays fun-filled games on weekends. Players will compete in full equipment. The season will start in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and run through the end of May.

Games are played on a smaller field with a regulation ball. Body checking is not taught or permitted, but legal pushing and holding is. Players are required to have standard lacrosse equipment: helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup.

If you choose to rent equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves) from the program as part of registration, there is an additional $60 rental fee at the time of registration. All players must supply their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup.

The cost to register is $150.

Tyker (8U)

The Tyker age group is for 7 and 8-year-old players, typically 2nd and 3rd graders. All players participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays games on weekends. The season starts in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and runs through the end of May.

Games are played on a smaller field with a regulation ball. Players are required to have standard lacrosse equipment: helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup.
