BALLROOM DANCE – Program meets Tuesday evenings at Bel Air Elementary School.The Winter program begins on January 8, 2019.The Beginner class begins at 7pm and offers Chachacha, Rhumba and Waltz.Doors open at 6:30pm for practice time.After class, time is available for advancing steps in various styles from 8-9pm and is available for those who have completed the Beginner class at Bel Air Elementary School.For additional information call 410-515-0426 or email

BASEBALL (Ages 4-17 years) – age determination date is May 1. Program meets from early April thru end June. Cost depends on age group ranging from $50-$90. Coaches and adult volunteers are needed in all age groups – sign up online. 2019Registration will be held online only at http://belairrec-baseball.assn.la/ starting on January 1st. CLOGGING – (Ages 8 and up) Experienced Cloggers and tap dancers can learn folk dances set to all types of music - country, pop, rock, and bluegrass. DINAMIC WORKOUTS - Ages 18+, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30-7:30PM at BAMS. BEL AIR TERPS YOUTH FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING: Football: Ages 5-14. Age determination date is August 1st. Registration is available online only at www.belairterps.com/registration. Returning player registration will take place in mid-February, and new player registration will begin in early March. Cost for the 2019 season is $200 per player for the competitive age groups and $150 per player for the clinic age groups (6U-7U). For more info regarding registration, please email the program at . Cheerleading: Online registration at www.belairterps.com/registrationwill begin on March 1st. Registration will close sometime in July, space permitting. Squad ages vary from 5U-14U. Must be age 5 by 8/1/19. Program will start on August 1st and coincide with football and runs through mid to late November depending on football championship games. Practice can be 3-4 evenings/week in August (depending on age group) and 2-3 evenings/week September and October. All participants are required to cheer at Bel Air Terps Football games on the weekends beginning in late August. HARFORD MEN’S BASEBALL LEAGUE - Online registration opens Jan. 1, 2019 for the 2019 Season. Register online only at www.mensbaseball.org/registration.There are 3 age groups for Adult play:Veterans division (30+), Masters Division (40+) and Legends Division (50+).The Veterans and Masters Divisions will play on Sundays starting early April and end prior to Labor Day.Games are played in & around the Bel Air area.The Legends Division will typically play on Wednesday nights but can be scheduled on other weeknights, starting in April.Returning in 2019, there will be a Wednesday Night 30+ League at Harford Community College starting in April, college schedule permitting.Cost for each age group will start at $125 per player.A $10 late fee will be added starting 3/1/19.Players must meet the minimum age requirements to play by the end of 2019 calendar year to be eligible for League play. LACROSSE(BOYS) –(Spring outdoor) – Ages 4-14 years. The program meets from early Feb thru late June at various Bel Air locations. Open registration fee is $150, plus a $35 equipment rental fee, if needed. If a player tries out and is put on a Travel team, additional fees for tournaments are required (approximately $75-$100). Open registration starts October 15, 2018 and ends January 13th, 2019. Late registration will be 1/14/19-2/02/19 or until the age group is full.Late registrationcost is $175 plus $35 equipment rental fee, if needed.Clinic (ages 4-5) fee is $85. LACROSSE (GIRLS) - Registration opens 11/15/18 and ends 01/15/2019. Online registration at www.belairrec.org Cost: 5-6 year olds clinic $60, 7-17 year olds $160. There will be additional costs for travel after tryouts take place. Potential Bel Air Girls Lacrosse Spring 2018: All registrations are online. Go to www.belairrec.org travel (MYLA) players must be registered by 1/15/2019 to try out. This is an outdoor spring program (March thru May for Rec and Feb thru June for travel). The Rec program participates in the Harford County Girls League. The travel program participates in the Maryland Youth Lacrosse Assoc. (MYLA). Tryouts will begin after 2/1/19. Inclement Weather Policy
Harford County Department of Parks and Recreation will utilize the following procedures for cancellation of programs and activities during inclement weather conditions.
Parks and Recreation Facilities: Weekdays, during regular business hours, when Harford County Government Offices are closed, all Harford County Parks and Recreation facilities will also be closed.These facilities will also adhere to announce delayed openings or early closings as determined by Harford County Government.In addition, if a specific facility can’t be opened or remain open safely, it may be closed by the local Parks and Recreation staff. During evening hours, weekends and holidays, when Harford County Government does not have regular business hours, local recreation staff will make cancellation decisions based upon specific site conditions. Excluded are Swan Harbor Farm, Emmorton Recreation and Tennis Center.
School Facilities:During weekdays when schools are closed or close early, all Harford County Parks and Recreation activities are canceled.When schools are closed or close early on Friday, indoor and outdoor activities for that weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be canceled based on the policy established by the Board of Education.If inclement weather occurs weekdays after school is dismissed and on weekends, Harford County Department of Parks and Recreation will use the snow emergency plan to determine activity status.When the snow emergency plan is in effect, activities at school sites will be canceled. If severe weather i.e. hurricane, occurs weekdays after school is dismissed and on weekends, programs may be cancelled based upon the discretion of the Department, Harford County Public Schools, and/or Harford County Government.
Other Facilities: If Recreation Councils are conducting events, meets or activities at private facilities in Harford County or any facility outside of Harford County, it will be their responsibility to cancel those programs due to inclement weather.
